Dallas Arboretum 2016

Rebekah:

As part of our August tradition, we found a day to go visit the Dallas Arboretum during $1 days.  It was raining the whole drive over there, but somehow we didn't receive a drop while we were there.  We stayed in the children's area the whole time and had such a blast.  You can also check out our Dallas Arboretum 2015 and Dallas Arboretum 2014 trips.

This ball rotates around in the water.  It's the Earth!

These chimes were so much fun to bounce on.  We made music!

Here is the Earth again.  The sun is BIG!  They also had a cool little demonstration of the earth spinning and the moon going around the earth.  It actually kind of made sense.

Here is where we got to create our own weather event.  We made it hail.

Here is a little man-made cave, but it had a pretty cool stalactite.  That's a big word.

We played with the solar panels and whenever I moved the plastic cloud, the ball would shoot up to the very top.  Then when I covered the solar panel again, the ball would fall.

We also played with various water pumps.

The tree house was super fun.  Hannah loved climbing up the nets.

Here is a little pretend bird's nest.  Notice I'm flapping my wings.  Tweet tweet.

Check out my egg.  I'm hatching.

This ant was fun to climb but I'm so glad ants aren't that big in real life.
