Christmas 2012

Christmas was so much fun this year, especially since I'm getting better at unwrapping presents.  Mommy and Daddy told me about baby Jesus and we had a birthday party for him on the 25th.  I can't wait until his next birthday!

We had a fun day and I'm so thankful for my Mommy and Daddy, but I'm also beginning to learn what it means to be thankful for the birth of Baby Jesus!

Pretend Play

Pretend play is something I had heard about, but wasn't really interested in doing until recently.  Mommy and Daddy think it's so cute when I play with my favorite animals.  My absolute favorite is Moo Cow.  I can see him all the way across the house and I just start mooing.  So fun!

Here I am playing with my grill.  Do you see Moo Cow?  Mommy and Daddy keep saying the word "irony".....

Here I am with the baby's rocker and I have carefully placed the baby's pacifier inside the Moo Cow's mouth.  Look at that precision!!

Last, but not least, is a video of me watering Moo Cow.  He gets thirsty, you know.

 

 

The Leaves

Almost all of the leaves have fallen from the trees and Mommy, Daddy, and Hannah came out to play with me one morning.  We had so much fun!

 

 

Baby is smiling, and I'm (re)Bekah

It's so much fun for Mommy to get Hannah to smile.  Sometimes she smiles instantly and sometimes it takes a bit of practice.  Check out these videos.

In this next video, Mommy is quizzing me on everyone's name.  I still refer to Hannah as "Baby", but you can see that I know my own name too!  I call myself "Bekah" although it sounds more like "Begah".  I'll get the "Re" part eventually.

And just for kicks, check out this next video of Baby Hannah learning to hit the rattle ball.  She figured out that sneezing gives her perfect accuracy, since she is too young to consciously hit the ball at this point.

Learning & Language

Our Pumpkin Patch Trip

Mommy and Daddy took me to this awesome pumpkin farm near our house.  They had a petting zoo, a little playground, and lots and lots of pumpkins.  My favorite was definitely the petting zoo.  Hannah came, too, but she didn't want to pet the animals just yet.

I'm 18 months and Hannah is 1 month old

A year and a half has already gone by since I was born.  I think it has gone so fast!  Mommy snapped this picture of me on my official 18 month birthday.  It's a little blurry, but it's because I was moving constantly!

A few weeks later, Hannah turned 1 month.

Over this past month, we had two Grandmas and a Grandpa here with us.  I called Grandpa "Bop" while he was here.  We had lots of fun together.

I miss them since they left, but we are adjusting to being a family of four again.  Time sure is flying by!

Baby Hannah is Here!

So much has happened in the past month.  My baby sister, Hannah Grace, was born on September 22, 2012.  She weighed more than I did at 8 pounds, but was about the same length at 20.5 inches.  She has already grown so much since my parents brought her home.  I like to point at her and say "baby" about a hundred times.  Lately I have discovered that smacking her legs is the funniest thing I have ever experienced.  I'm pretty sure that Mommy and Daddy aren't as amused.  And Hannah doesn't seem too excited, but I just can't help myself.

Do you see how she always sticks her tongue out?  My Mommy says that I used to do that when I was a baby as well.

And look how peaceful she is right here.  Mommy was trying to give her some tummy time, but she wasn't in the mood.

I know that Hannah and I will be the best of friends in life, but that having her around is also going to be a major adjustment for me.  Good thing she is so cute!

Almost 17 months

I'm almost 17 months old and I've noticed that Mommy doesn't take out the fancy camera as much anymore.  Perhaps it's because I like to grab the lens?  Today she did a little photo shoot of me while we were outside. It was a beautiful morning and I had a lot of fun (until we went inside).

Mornings Outside

Lately, I've been hanging out on the deck outside. The mornings have been nice and it's shaded perfectly so Mommy doesn't put that sunscreen junk all over me. I like to find the dead leaves and bring them to Mommy.

She has this goofy grin on her face half the time and mutters something about "fall" or "November".  Whatever.

Sometimes I have to use my investigative skills to find the miniature pieces of leaves that have fallen through the deck.  It's also a good time to find other nasty stuff and bring it to Mommy.  She's thrilled!
