Rebekah:
Christmas this year was so much fun. I have really improved on my unwrapping skills and I can tear paper with the best of them. Mommy and Daddy got me a ribbon, which was quite possibly my favorite present.

Preparing for Christmas
Rebekah
Christmas is just a few more days away and we have been busy preparing ourselves. You saw on my previous post that I am having a ton of fun playing the nativity game, especially moo cow. I'm also having tons of fun with the Christmas tree at home. I made a few new ornaments this year:
I'm looking forward to what happens next for Christmas. Maybe it has something to do with all those presents under the tree!

At school, I made a new super cool ornament for a Christmas present to Mommy and Daddy. It was a handprint that looked like little snowmen, but as soon as Daddy handed it to me, it hit the tile and smashed into a million pieces. My poor Mommy took me to a craft store after a quick google search and we began making our own ornament together. It was a lot of fun and it turned out great!
Hannah made an ornament at school, too, but she didn't break hers. This is a true original:

Playing in the leaves
Rebekah
Before all this ice nonsense coated our lawn, we had tons of leaves that were perfect for jumping around in.

Nativity Set Play Time
Mommy made this really cool nativity set she found on the internet. I really enjoyed playing with it, but there are lots of pieces. I think it will be fun next year when Hannah can play, too.
In this picture below, I'm trying to feed the hay to the moo cow. Yum, yum.
Look below to see baby Jesus in the manger.
Moo cow looks hungry. I bet he wants my animal cracker.

Ice Storm 2013
Rebekah
We are covered in ice! At first Mommy told me it was snow and I liked that idea because it was wet and white and cold. Then we went outside and whoa, I couldn't walk on that stuff. It was so slippery. Mommy was very thoughtful. She bundled me up with a hundred layers and then put me in my "sled".
My "sled" was a laundry basket with a bungee cord. Mommy tried pulling me along with her tennis shoes, but she just couldn't get much traction. That's when she put on the ice skates.
Mommy tried to get fancy with her ice skates, but she has definitely lost her magic touch in the 3.5 years she hasn't gone skating. Daddy captured this video while we were inside watching from our nice warm house.
We had so much fun. I was freeeezing cold, but I didn't want to tell Mommy how cold I was. I just continued to shiver and hoped she wouldn't notice. Maybe tomorrow we can do it again!

Am I crawling? Am I walking? What a big day!
Hannah:
Today started out like any normal day, but boy did I have a few surprises in store for Mommy and Daddy. After church, I managed to move my knee one motion in a crawl-like manner for the very first time. They were pretty shocked! I took a nap after that and then figured out how to sit up in my crib. That was fun, too.
After my nap, I tried to crawl again, but really didn't have much luck. It's so hard! Then we ate dinner and went upstairs to play. I finally had the chance to try some crawling, and I actually managed to move a few times, even as much as a foot! Mommy grabbed the cell phone and recorded some video:
Here is a picture of that perfect "pose".
That was about 6:15pm and we were all so excited. After 13 months and 5 days, I had finally taken my first crawl, even if it was just a few inches. Around 6:40pm, I was downstairs again and decided that I hadn't accomplished enough today. So I decided to take my first steps. Mommy flipped and Daddy grabbed the camera as fast as he could.
They don't have any pictures yet, but the videos will suffice. I might also add that today, for the first time, I managed to lift myself back up from my hands and feet. You probably saw my "almost attempt" in the video.
What a day! I don't know about you, but learning to crawl, walk, lift myself up, stand unassisted, and get to a sitting position in my crib is a lot to do for the very first time in a day. I think tomorrow I'm going to try jogging or riding a bike. Maybe I'll even surprise Mommy by saying her name. Hmm, what to do, what to do.....

Butterfly Flutterby
Rebekah:
This morning I went with my family to see a big butterfly release. Unfortunately, we got there just after the release and left before the next one, but I still was able to see a few beautiful butterflies. Look at this one that landed on Mommy's arm. I was a little to scared to touch it, though.
I also did a little painting on a butterfly craft, but somehow Mommy forgot to take a picture. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see more butterflies soon!

School Train Ride and Pumpkin Patch Fun
Rebekah:
My sister and I love going to school these days, although that wasn't always the case. Yesterday, they brought a train all the way to our school so we could ride along. I still can't figure out how a train can move without being on railroad tracks, but we can save that evaluation for another day. Mommy and Daddy came to school to share in our fun. We took some fun pictures with pumpkins and gourds!
