Frost Fest 2017

Rebekah:

Last weekend was the best.  We went to a fun event we have never been to before and it was amazing. It was called Frost Fest because they actually made snow!  There was a big snow hill, a giant area to play in the snow, a petting zoo, and even a guy who made a penguin out of a giant block of ice. Super fun.

Here I am at the top of the snow tubing hill.  I promise it was a lot steeper than I expected it to be, but it was total exhilaration.  We got to do it twice!  Even Mommy did it because she had no other way down from the top!

The petting zoo was really fun, but I definitely think the bunnies were my favorite part.  They were so incredibly soft.

The chickens are hiding behind us, but what you can't see are the 20 goats in front of us.

They had a fun train on wheels that took us around the entire area while we got to sing to our favorite songs.  It was a really fun train ride.  We waved at lots of people.

Finally it was time to play in the snow.  We both gave our efforts to build a snow man, but it was jut too icy.  It was still really fun to play in the big pile of snow!

Here is the ice guy.  I can't believe he made this beautiful penguin out of a giant chunk of ice.  He even used a torch to melt it after he was done cutting it.  I was so scared the whole thing would melt, but he knew exactly what he was doing.

When I got home, Mommy asked me what my favorite part of the day was.  I think she expected me to say the snow tube or the bunnies or something like that, but actually my favorite part of the day was stopping at the playground on the way to the car and finally being able to cross the bars!  I'm so proud of myself.

We can't wait to go back to Frost Fest next year.  It will definitely be an event we won't miss.
