SeaWorld

Rebekah:

For more than a month, Mommy has been showing us random videos of orca whales, dolphins, and even some shows from SeaWorld.  I started begging her to go to SeaWorld, but she kept saying she would talk to Daddy.  Then came the big announcement:

Let me apologize for the egg falling out of our mouths.  We are still learning our manners!  After we finished breakfast, we hopped in the car.  Do you know what Mommy had in there?  DVD players!!  It was so cool because we could watch tv in the car.  I had no idea that even existed.  Mommy said it was a life saver.  We also had other toys to keep us happy and off we went to San Antonio.

Beluga Whales

When we first arrived, we walked in and heard a crowd cheering, so we walked into see the Dolphin and Beluga whale show.  This picture below is the very first picture Mommy took at SeaWorld.  I think I saw her starting to cry.  I thought maybe it was the sunscreen in her eyes, but perhaps it was more about the overwhelming reality that we were all together on this awesome vacation that she never thought would happen.

Dolphins

The dolphins were super fast and they could jump so high!

Bay of Play and Rides

After the show, it was time to play.  They have a HUGE kids area with lots of great rides, shows, and even a splash pad (which we didn't do).  The first ride we went on was this Abby Cadabby ride.  We kept calling it a caterpillar.  It was like a boat that kept turning.

They had a carousel too.

The Shamu roller coaster was probably our favorite because it was a real roller coaster.  We rode on it countless times.

Once we got to the play area, we saw how HUGE it was.  Mommy told us we could climb up these nets and go down the slide.  We did that a few times and then we saw some fun tunnels around the corner to go play on.  After Mommy had a "heart attack" because she couldn't find us, we were all reunited with smiles again.

This Big Bird ride was kind of boring.  It took forever to load and unload everyone, so we only did it once.

I loved meeting my friends from Sesame Street.  Big Bird is really a BIG BIRD!  In fact, he almost knocked me over with his tail.  Hannah kept running up to all of them and giving them hugs.  She even went up to Big Bird to show him her bucket.

They have a big Sesame show that we all got to watch together.  I loved seeing everyone sing and dance, but Hannah wanted to know why Big Bird wasn't up there.  Maybe because he's so big?

Check out our ride.  Whenever we were moving to the next thing, we just plopped down and hung out for a while until Mommy said we made it to our next place.  Pretty sweet.

Let's not forget snack time.  Hannah discovered her new favorite food.  Can you figure it out?

Pets Ahoy

We were able to see this really fun pet show with rescued animals.   They had cats, dogs, birds, and even a pig!

After the show, we were able to pet some of the animals.  I loved petting this super soft kitty, but we also got to pet a macaw.

Azul

We had the best time watching the Azul show.  It featured dolphins and beluga whales, but also acrobats, synchronized swimmers, and even a funny guy.

Look at this guy doing a hand stand by the ceiling.  Then he dove into the water!

These guys were swinging and flipping in the air.

Here is the grand finale:

Shamu

It was finally time to see the orca whales. We couldn't wait for this show.  It was the pinnacle of everything about SeaWorld and it did not disappoint.

Here is the first orca we saw.  It was simply majestic!

Here is the grand finale of One Ocean - the Shamu show:

Everything about our trip to SeaWorld was amazing.  The shows were so cool, the kids area was a blast, the hotel was perfect, but the best part of all was spending all that wonderful time with Mommy.
